Viva La Resolution!

My friend Kim makes resolutions every year. The amount corresponds with the age she is going to be that year. This year she will be 23 (but she's making 37 goals). I sometimes copy her in doing this. The last visible one was January of 2006. I'm gonna do it again this year. Here are my goals for my 22nd year (but I'm going to make 36).

1. Tribe of Ephraim art show.
2. Save $500 a month.
3. Spend 20 minutes with Starla training her a day.
4. Spend 10 minutes a day cleaning.
5. Limit my internet addiction to 2 hours a day (I'd like to keep it down to 1, but there are so many things I need to do work-wise with the world wide web - so many excuses!).
6. Start doing etsy again.
7. Illustrate a children's book.
8. Make a journal entry every night.
9. Visit the temple at least once a month.
10. Purge a room a month of unnecessary objects.
11. Make my time at work always valuable.
12. Look for ways to help people at work, and not hinder.
13. Maintain a daily exercise routine.
14. Start running with Starla (maybe Kim, too?).
15. Make a personal recipe book.
16. Put my blog into book format. (Is blurb.com still the go-to for this sort of thing?)
17. Play piano more.
18. Read at least a book a month.
19. Memorize a scripture a week.
20. Memorize a poem a week.
21. Pray.
22. Get my family work done.
23. Make a family history book for family members.
24. Figure out gardening a bit and make my yard more friendly.
25. Use my National Parks Pass card a lot. One trip for this year already planned - Glacier National Park. I've never been to Moab, so I should probably get that one under my hat, too. I'd also like to do Yosemite.
26. Visit the Okanagan.
27. Fall in love.
28. Maintain a regular hygiene routine for Starla.
29. Visit Kyrgyzstan.
30. Make coffin with Jake.
31. Become scroll saw expert!
32. Visit New York.
33. Make at least one interesting meal a week.
34. Become an expert meat cooker.
35. Study a political topic a month.
36. Learn German.

Ta da! That's it! Some of these are way doable, some of them a little far-fetched, but I think I will be able to do them all if I put my mind to it. Here's to a bit of heaven in 2011!
