Betsy's Wedding

Saturday night I went to the wedding of two people I have only met once in real life, but feel like I know them both so well from their blogs, Betsy and Steve. I think they are both so fun and I hope to be able to continue to be their blog/real life friend.

Becca and I walked to the reception at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and I'm so glad we did because on the way there, we saw all these cop cars and it looked like they were surrounding this drunk guy sitting on the floor. I thought, "Oh, typical drunk guy passed out on the floor, ho hum, nothing to see here," but no. This drunk guy had a gaping wound on the side of his head and there was blood everywhere. Always an adventure when I go walking somewhere with Becca.

Lee expressed dissatisfaction with me about the amount of time I've featured him on my blog. This blog has TWO pictures of Lee and hopefully I won't make such a horrible mistake in the future.

Always charming and dapper, Keith came out from LA for the wedding. You can always count on Keith to provide interesting conversation and make you feel important.

Emily and Hooner! Emily, I'm sorry, there is another picture of you that is cuter, I put it on Facebook. This one is cute though, but that other one is real cute. I used this one to avoid repetition and get more bang for my buck.

Then, my favorite long-time friends Marsha and Emily showed up and I felt so happy that they were there. Marsha is standing next to the handsome and charming Cassian.

I told Emily to do something inappropriate to Lee in order to get a quality picture but they both gave me this face. They didn't trust my art direction. You need to learn to trust me.

Newlyweds! These people have all been married for less than a month! It was so great to be able to see Suzanne and Jed at not just this wedding but at the tri-DI thrift store extravaganza that occurred earlier in the day.

Becca is motioning to herself in this picture because she's letting me know her rightful place as Cassian's fiance.

But I don't know...

Keith playing with adoring small children. Ladies...

Finally, towards the end of the reception, Damian decided to get busy and give some dancing lessons. Make your own flip book.

Afterwards we all went over to Damian and Danny's house. Dave was there and he went out and bought some hot-n-ready pizza. I don't know if I was malnourished or what, but that pizza tasted so good. The rest of the night I spent sitting on the couch talking to Natani and Lee. I like that Natani, she lives next to all the taco wagons on State street.

Party attendees. I was really jealous of Casey and her getting a back rub.

And then a lot of commotion started happening. Keith got all excited because apparently a celebrity showed up from their online club.

Woo hoo! Weddings! Someone else get married so we can all come and hang out again!

Weird how I've never met any of you, but know most from linkup and blogs. I have a life outside the internet, I swear. That being said, this lady has had a crush on Keith for a while. True, true.

Emily, whatever, you're pretty and in that picture, you're confused.

Sherpa, sure, sure, I've heard about these "lives outside the internet." I'm not sure they exist.

Ems, looking drunk is fierce.

b., I could tell. There was this famous aura emenating off of you. I have no idea how to spell emenating.

i love weddings! i love how they bring people together - and in this case people i know through the internet. having met cindy in person and actually have her live in my basement for a week or two makes it all the more real, though. i can believe there is life outside the www. thank you for bringing us this post cindy!

Sarah, the internet is such a magical place.

Jamie, thanks for the info. I'll have to congratulate her when I see her!

Andi, I know, I know! I thought about it both of the times I've seen drunken bloody guys lying in the street, but each time I've thought it would be in poor taste to take such a picture at such a time. Then, when I get home, I'm kicking myself.

Cindy If I'm not mistaken, are you not wearing that little vintag-y dress that you got all those years ago? You look so cute! Everyone looks so chic all hanging out and being cool and knowing each other and stuff...congratulations cool people.

Erin, it's the very same one! Thank you for finding it for me. I remember the moment at the DI in Provo very well. Here's a little secret: I've never washed it. I'm afraid to because I think it will get ruined. It doesn't stink though. At least I don't think it stinks.
